About the product
These Telescopic keys go directly onto the curb stop, such as in a 2-1/2" - 3" Buffalo style box, like a 94 or 95e style box. This key telescopes from approximately 4' - 8', or 6-10'. The 18" handle is 1/2" SCH 40 steel pipe.Telescopic Shaft is 5/8 SQ HR Steel. Outer shaft is 1" SCH 40 steel pipe. A spring ball plunger is incorporated to hold bottom section at the desired height to operate curb. Standard curb end is 1-1/4" RD w/5/8 slot.These keys are constructed so that you do not need to use any pins or bolts to adjust depth. The spring ball plunger holds the shaft at your desired depth. There is a stop welded to the telescopic shaft so it will not come apart when fully extended.
